Black Tie Ball Raises More Than $75,000 for Women’s and Children’s Services at Texas Health Kaufman|
DALLAS — More than 300 generous guests attended the 2013 Black Tie Ball at the Belo Mansion in Dallas on Nov. 9. Through sponsorships, a live auction, Shimmering Treasure mystery boxes, and a 3-minute donation challenge, Texas Health Resources Foundation raised more than $75,000 net to support women’s and children’s services at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman.
Proceeds from the evening will provide prenatal care to underserved women in the Kaufman community. This supports Texas Health Resources' mission to “improve the health of the people in the communities we serve.”
Guests enjoyed dinner and music from the Dallas band, Time Warp. Shimmering Treasure mystery boxes were a popular item among attendees and sold out quickly.
“We had such a great committee that worked tirelessly over the year,” said Norma Fortner, 2013 chair. “Funds raised by this event will have a tremendous impact on the hospital and meet a great need for accessible prenatal care in the Kaufman community.”
Top sponsors for the ball were:
ABOX Packaging Company
James B. Park, M.D., FACC
Thomas Protective Services, Inc.
