Industry media report Texas Health, THPG and Cigna accountable care initiative

Health care industry media featured the announcement that Cigna, Texas Health Resources and Texas Health Physicians Group have launched a collaborative accountable care initiative to improve patient access to health care, enhance care coordination and achieve the “triple aim” of improved health, affordability and patient experience. Texas Health in Ch. 5 story

A story aired last night on KXAS (Ch. 5) about a patient who was surprised that the physician who treated her in the emergency department at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth was out-of-network, when the hospital is in-network under her health insurance plan. Wendell Watson, Texas Health Resources spokesman, was quoted in the online story. Click here to see the story. The second part of the story is scheduled to air on the 10 p.m. broadcast tonight.

Texas Health Denton’s CMO announcement featured in local media

Denton-area media featured the announcement of Dr. Timothy Harris as chief medical officer for Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton. Stan Morton, hospital president, was also quoted. Texas Health Azle featured on KTXD-TV

Dr. Nina Asrani, a cardiologist on the medical staff at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Azle, was featured in a live interview on KTXD-TV (Ch. 47) that discussed heart disease in women. To see the interview, click here.

Texas Health Cleburne’s Dr. Banna featured in Times-Review

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne appeared in today’s Cleburne Times-Review in an article highlighting the hospital’s upcoming heart walk. Dr. Moustafa Banna, a cardiologist on the medical staff at Texas Health Cleburne and Consultants in Cardiology Fort Worth, a Texas Health Physicians Group practice, was interviewed for the article, which discusses the importance of heart health and cardiac disease awareness. Feb. 7, marks National Wear Red Day, and several Texas Health hospitals will show support through employee heart walks on Friday. Ronda Dillard, R.N., was also interviewed.
