Golden, HMFW in ADVANCE for Nurses Magazine

Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital’s Faith Community Nursing Program is featured in the recent edition of ADVANCE for Nurses magazine. Paulette Golden, R.N., manager of community health at HMFW, was interviewed about the program.

Paper by PHD's Winslow, Brosz Gets National Attention

A study by Elizabeth H. Winslow, Ph.D., R.N., FAAN, a researcher at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, and Debra Brosz, MSN, R.N., ONC, NEA-BC, a nurse manager at PHD, appears in the September issue of the American Journal of Nursing. The paper examines the use of graduated compression stocking, which are one of the tools used to prevent deep vein thrombosis in hospitalized patients. Winslow and Brosz found that the stocking are often incorrectly fitted, putting patients at risk for potentially-deadly blood clots.
