The Harris Methodist Heart Center at Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital was featured in a Star-Telegram sports column by Jim Reeves, who recently had quintuple bypass surgery at the HMHC. He praised the physicians and nursing staff for their clinical excellence and care.

Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital was also mentioned in the Star-Telegram for receiving the “Readers Choice” award for best hospital.

PHD's Locker Discusses Concussions on KTVT-TV

A story about the new Concussion Management at Program at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas was featured on KTVT-TV (Channel 11). To prevent the potential long-term neurological damage caused by concussions and repeated head injuries, PHD's Presbyterian Sports Network has started the program, which features the on-line ImPACT™ baseline test, aimed at helping local physicians and athletic trainers determine if a player who has suffered a concussion is safe to return to competition.

Ken Locker, a certified athletic trainer at PHD and director of Presbyterian Sports Network was interviewed for the story. The concussion management program is also offered through the Ben Hogan Sports Therapy Institute at Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital.
