Harold Berenzweig, M.D., became Texas Health's executive vice president and Southwest Zone clinical leader in June 2012.

He was named vice president of medical and information management at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth in 2006 after serving as medical director of continuous quality improvement and vice president of medical specialties for the hospital from 1995 to 2000. He has also served as chief of internal medicine in the United States Air Force Regional Hospital at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth and was in private practice in gastroenterology from 1978 to 2005.

After receiving his medical degree at New York University, Berenzweig completed his residency at Beth Israel Hospital in Massachusetts and his fellowship in gastroenterology at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut, and was a postdoctoral associate in Medicine at Yale University and a clinical fellow in Medicine at Harvard College. Currently, he is a diplomate on both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine-Gastroenterology.
