Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Stephenville to Host Screening Event|
STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Stephenville invites community members to come to the hospital on Wednesday to get their cholesterol checked.
Proceeds from the screening event benefit a Texas Health Stephenville team participating in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure walk this fall. In addition to the screenings, Texas Health Stephenville also is a collection site for the United Way’s Stuff the Bus campaign. The United Way campaign is working to collect school supplies that area teachers can share with children in need on the first day of school.
“Texas Health Stephenville is proud to support local charities with help from our employees and offering the community a place to gather,” said Christopher Leu, hospital president. “We hope that individuals will take the time to learn their health information at the screenings while supporting two great nonprofit organizations.”
The screenings will be held from 7 to 9 a.m. Fasting is required for accurate results.
Individuals may choose a complete blood profile, including a complete blood count, metabolic panel and lipid profile, for $70. The lipid profile, which shows good and bad cholesterol levels, costs $25. A TSH thyroid test costs $25 and a prostate screening costs $30.
Individuals wanting to drop off school supplies or to complete health screenings should enter at the Belknap lobby. For more information, please call 254-965-8401.
