HMHEB Welcomes New Physicians to Medical Staff

BEDFORD, Texas – Harris Methodist H•E•B Hospital recently welcomed several new physicians to its medical staff.

  • Juan Carlos Bartolomei, M.D., a neurosurgeon specializing in minimally invasive spine surgery, received his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Conn. He completed his internship in general surgery and his residency in neurosurgery at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Conn., and practiced at Yale as an academic faculty member prior to moving to the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

    Dr. Bartolomei is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Society for Neurosciences, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, the American Medical Association, and the Spine Fellowship at Barrow Neurological Institute. His office is located at Harris Methodist Southlake Center for Diagnostics & Surgery at 1545 E. Southlake Boulevard.

  • Lisa L. Fraga, M.D., a general surgeon with advanced training in laparoscopic surgery, is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Fraga received her doctorate of medicine from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock. She is a member of the Association of Women Surgeons, the Dallas County Medical Society, the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, the Southwestern Surgical Congress, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and the Texas Medical Association. Her practice is located in Bedford at MASTER CENTER® for Laparoscopic Surgery, LLP, 1604 Hospital Pkwy., Suite 101.

  • Duane A. Hilliard, M.D., an anesthesiologist, is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesia. He received his medical degree from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, Calif. He completed his internship at Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham, Ala., and his anesthesiology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical Center, in Birmingham, Ala. Dr. Hilliard completed a fellowship in pain management at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C.

    He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiology, the International Anesthesia Research Society, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, the International Spinal Injection Society, the World Institute of Pain, the North American Neuromodulation Society, and the American Medical Association. His practice is located at 221 West Colorado Blvd., Suite 420 in Dallas.

  • Ophthalmologist Jerry Hu, M.D. received his medical degree from the Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, N.C. He completed his residency at the Duke University Eye Center and completed a fellowship in corneal and refractive surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a member of the American Association of Ophthalmologists, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and serves as the treasurer for the Tarrant County Ophthalmologist Society. Dr. Hu specializes in ophthalmic surgery, including cataract surgery, Lasik, Crystalens, corneal disease and surgery, corneal transplantation, glaucoma and diabetes. His practice is located at 1872 Norwood Drive in Hurst.

  • Sharon Lynn Jackson, M.D., a pediatrician, is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She received her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington D.C. and completed her residency at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. She also served as a major in the United States Air Force. Her practice is located at 350 Westpark Way, Suite112 in Euless.

  • Joyce Argelia Noriega, M.D., an obstetrician-gynecologist board-certified by the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecology, received her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Mich. She completed her OB/GYN residency at the Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, W. Va.,  where as chief resident she received the Good Hands Award for outstanding surgical skills. Dr. Noriega is a member of the American Medical Association, the North Carolina Medical Association and is a Junior Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Her practice is located at 1615 Hospital Parkway Suite 100 in Bedford.
