BEDFORD, Texas – Women 40 and older should get mammograms every year, but a recent study by Dartmouth University indicates that women may not be heeding those guidelines.
Harris Methodist H•E•B Hospital is doing its part to help women catch breast cancer early by hosting mammography screenings Saturday, October 8 and Saturday, October 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside the Atrium of the Edwards Cancer Center, located at 1612 Hospital Parkway on the campus of Harris Methodist H•E•B Hospital in Bedford. Appointments are required. Please call 1-888-4-HARRIS to register.
Screening results are sent to the patient and his/her primary care physician within five to seven days following the test. If a patient does not have a primary care physician, Harris Methodist Hospitals assists them in finding one. The health screening event is open to all community members. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.
