This open to the public event will include drink specials, appetizers and a door prize for two tickets (total value $400) to this year’s Greer Garson Gala at the Omni Dallas on April 26. Guests are encouraged to RSVP to the kickoff event on the Foundation’s Facebook page.
The kickoff’s mission is to infuse the community with excitement leading up to the Gala and educate supporters about the work of Texas Health Resources Foundation and how net proceeds from the Gala are used. All net proceeds from the Greer Garson Gala will benefit Women and Infant Services at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas. In addition, this event will be an opportunity for those who cannot attend the Gala to come out and show support for the cause.
"The Greer Garson Gala has been one of the most fulfilling events that I have been honored to be a part of since moving to Dallas,” said Herring. “Texas Health Dallas has become the medical home for me and my family, and to be able to raise funds for the Women and Infant Services is a very personal passion for me and for my fellow committee members, especially our gala chair Keri Tonn. We intend to make the April gala as regal as the event's British-born namesake, and appreciate the opportunity to build excitement and raise awareness for the cause at our kickoff celebration."
The 2014 Gala, deemed “A Royal Affair,” is chaired by Tonn and David Heard. Guests will enjoy a silent auction, seated dinner, live auction, and entertainment by Hard Night’s Day, Dallas’ premier Beatles cover band.
Ticket sponsorships for the Gala begin at $2,500 and individual tickets are available for $200 each. Anyone who purchases Gala tickets at or before the kickoff event will receive $100 in charitable casino chips to be used at the Gala.
