Texas Health Kaufman to Host Heart Health Seminar 02/09/2010
KAUFMAN, Texas — Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman will host a free health seminar this month to educate local residents about cardiovascular disease.
Sharon Hillgartner, RN,WHNP-BC, manager of the heart and vascular screening program at Texas Health Kaufman, will discuss the latest research on heart disease with an emphasis on the differences in cardiovascular disease in men and women. Treatments and strategies for taking care of your heart will also be discussed. The program is free and includes a light lunch for a $7 donation.
The program is part of Texas Health Kaufman’s Advances in Medicine lecture series, an ongoing initiative to inform local residents about the latest treatments for common health problems and raise awareness about current medical issues.
