The Heart Valve Center at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas combines the expertise of a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon, a board-certified noninvasive cardiologist and a board-certified imaging cardiologist to offer patients specialized heart care in one location.
The physicians on staff at the Heart Valve Center evaluate valvular diseases found in all four valves of the heart. The physicians not only diagnose and treat heart valve disease but also work with the center to raise awareness of a condition that is often overshadowed by other cardiovascular problems. The Heart Valve Center uses advanced technology to offer patients quality treatment in valve-repair and valve-replacement procedures.
One appointment, three specialists
Patients referred to the Heart Valve Center will be scheduled for one appointment, during which they are seen by three physicians on the medical staff:
- A cardiothoracic surgeon
- An interventional cardiologist
- A noninvasive cardiologist
In most cases, additional testing and imaging will be conducted on the same day.
