Mike Evans, R.N., M.S., became president of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano in June 2012.

Prior to being named president, Evans served three years as senior vice president and chief operating officer at Texas Health Plano. An Army veteran, Evans began his career at Texas Health Resources in 1982 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas.

During his tenure at Texas Health Plano, Evans served on a variety of key committees and councils, including the Texas Health Resources Physicians Leadership Council, the Chief Nursing Officer’s Council and the President’s Leadership Council.

Evans earned a master’s degree in nursing administration from Texas Women’s University in Denton and is currently a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Texas Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association.

Chief Medical Officer

 
Stephen K. Hadzima, M.D.

Stephen K. Hadzima, M.D., joined Texas Health Plano as its chief medical officer in June 2011. Hadzima joined Texas Health Plano from UnitedHealthcare Medicare Solutions in St. Louis, where he served as senior medical director and vice president, and central region chief medical officer, for the Medicare Advantage products since 2008.

As CMO for Texas Health Plano, Hadzima is responsible for all initiatives, programs and achievements in the areas of quality management, patient safety and risk management, infection prevention, and medical staff governance.

Prior to his tenure with UnitedHealthCare Medicare Solutions, Hadzima was chief medical officer and chief quality officer in 2008 for Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Mo. from 1999 to 2007, he was vice president and chief medical officer for Christian Hospital in St. Louis, a founding member of BJC Healthcare. From 1987 to 2007, he was in engaged in either full or part-time practice in internal medicine, St. Louis County, Mo.

Board-certified in internal medicine, Hadzima graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine in June 1983 with his bachelor's and doctor of medicine degrees. He completed his internship and residency at Saint Louis University and was awarded a master's degree in business administration from the Washington University Olin School of Business Executive Program in May 1998. His background also includes clinical instructor of medicine at St. Louis University and examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.

Chief Nursing Officer

Raymond Kelly, R.N., B.S.N.

Raymond Kelly, R.N., M.S.N., became Texas Health Plano's chief nursing officer in September 2011. Kelly came to Plano from Baptist Hospital of Miami in Florida, where he had served as the director of nursing since 2006.

In his role as chief nursing officer, Kelly is responsible for the day-to-day operations and strategic planning for the Nursing Department at Texas Health Plano along with Pharmacy, Food and Nutrition Services, Trauma Services, Respiratory Care, and Neurodiagnostics and Nursing Research.

Kelly became a registered nurse through his studies at Glantawe School of Nursing in Swansea, UK. He obtained his diploma in Business and Management Studies at Ealing College in London, UK, and his Master of Science in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Fla.
