Bio
Wendy Veatch got her start in orthopedics and sports medicine in 2000 working as an assistant athletic trainer for the University of Colorado in Boulder. While there, she was responsible for the care and rehabilitation of women athletes with soccer and ski injuries. She relocated to North Texas in 2008 to focus on the care of active individuals with knee, shoulder and elbow concerns.
Wendy is certified as a physician assistant. She holds dual bachelor’s degrees in biology and natural sciences from Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tenn. She earned her Master of Arts in physical education at the University of South Florida in Tampa and her Master of Medical Sciences from St. Francis University . Wendy completed a fellowship in athletic training through the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
Her extensive experience also includes providing athletic training coverage for the Pan American Games in 2003 and for the USA Men’s and Women’s Swim Teams during the 2004 Olympics. Her areas of special focus include surgical assistance for arthroscopic ACL reconstructions; fracture care; specialty knee, shoulder and elbow care; joint injections, joint aspirations and cold therapies.
