Stay tuned for details about our 2026 Fashion Luncheon!

Over the past three decades, Texas Health Resources Foundation has reached thousands of women in Fort Worth and surrounding communities who face barriers to health care, such as financial hardship, transportation challenges, and cultural isolation. Texas Health mobile units travel to underserved areas to meet women in need where they live, work, and worship. Funds raised at this luncheon help us continue no-cost, essential outreach in North Texas.

In 2025, we were proud to highlight Survivor Model mother and daughter team Jeanne Ferren and her daughter Mandy Gartrell. Jeanne is a 32-year breast cancer survivor. She enjoys being the Director of First Methodist Preschool in Glen Rose and says her ministry at the preschool kept her going through the tough times. Her favorite quote when reflecting on her cancer recovery is, “God will sometimes take us to a place we never intended to go to accomplish in us what we could never accomplish on our own.”

Mandy is a two-time cancer survivor. She is married to Brandon, and they have two children, Aiden, and Conner. At 33, Mandy discovered a lump in her breast and after multiple tests, she was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma. Mandy underwent a double mastectomy, six rounds of chemo, and a full hysterectomy. Then, in February 2024, Mandy was diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer. After surgery and twelve rounds of chemotherapy, pathology showed no active cancer cells! Mandy gives all glory to Jesus Christ for carrying her through these cancer battles.
