Behavioral Health
Texas Health Behavioral Health outpatient programs are for adults and adolescents who need a structured therapy program that offers counseling and education in a group setting. Clinicians work with physicians on the medical staff to provide daily support and a safe place to talk, learn problem-solving skills and practice stress-reduction techniques.
Providing care in a confidential, caring environment with health care professionals who are dedicated to the behavioral health needs of patients is key to mental health treatment. The outpatient behavioral health program at Texas Health Neighborhood Care & Wellness Centers provide individuals and families support for a variety of issues including mental health, substance abuse issues and more.

Balancing Technology and Comfort
Texas Health Neighborhood Care & Wellness combines technology and personalized service to provide comprehensive breast care to meet the unique needs of women. That’s why we strive to make your mammogram experience as comfortable as possible. Unlike most mammography facilities we use MammoPad®, a soft foam pad that is placed on the imaging receptor to create a warmer, softer surface between you and the mammography system.

Bone Density Testing
Bone health is an important part of a person’s overall health, and women are especially at risk. The National Osteoporosis Foundation estimates that of the 10 million Americans with osteoporosis, approximately 80% are women. Asian, Hispanic and Native American women are at even greater risk for the disease.
As osteoporosis robs the strength of your bones, the risk of fractures rises dramatically. That’s why it’s important to have your bone density checked with a painless diagnostic test.
Bone mineral density tests:
- Diagnose bone loss and osteoporosis
- See how well osteoporosis medicine is working
- Predict your risk of future bone fractures.
To help you keep an eye on your bone health, Texas Health Neighborhood Care & Wellness Burleson offers DEXA scans, a screening tool used to identify any decreases in bone density. This test uses low-dose X-rays, and is simple, quick (usually 15 minutes) and can be taken fully clothed. During these tests, a scanner will either be passed over your lower spine and hip, or over your wrist, fingers, leg or heel. The scan itself is painless.

An emergency can happen at any moment. Luckily, 24/7 emergency care can be just moments away at Texas Health Neighborhood Care & Wellness Centers, located throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Texas Health Neighborhood Care & Wellness can provide care for an array of illnesses and injuries. Care can be accessed through your local Neighborhood Care & Wellness Center. If a patient requires admission or surgery, they will be transferred to the appropriate hospital by air or ground ambulance.
More than an emergency department, Texas Health Neighborhood Care & Wellness Centers in Burleson, Prosper, and Willow Park feature imaging services, an on-site lab for testing, primary care and medical specialist offices, therapy and even a community fitness center.

Texas Health Neighborhood Care & Wellness Centers offer an easy and convenient place to go for diagnostic tests and other lab services. On-site laboratory services are designed to provide accurate and prompt results for tests including blood chemistry and urine testing. We place a priority on providing safe, effective and confidential diagnostic care to you and your loved ones.
