Texas Health is implementing Single Sign-On capability across all applications requiring a username and password. This enhanced process is designed to maintain security while simplifying ease of use. Once your new Texas Health account is established, you only need to remember one set of login credentials, which you can use to access all Texas Health applications.
Transitioning to a Texas Health Account
Your Texas Health MyChart username and password will now become your Texas Health account credentials. This means you won't have to create new login information; instead, you'll use your existing MyChart credentials to access not only MyChart but also other Texas Health services. To transition to the new Texas Health account, you can log into your Texas Health account or select the "Login with your Texas Health Account" button from the MyChart website or on the Texas Health MyChart mobile app. Just enter your existing MyChart username and password, and you are all set!
-
Can I register for a Texas Health account if I don’t have a Texas Health MyChart account?
Yes. A MyChart account is not required to register for a Texas Health account. Setup your Texas Health account by visiting: https://account.texashealth.org/login.
-
Why do I have to enter a code to login?
For your security, multi-factor authentication (MFA) is required to login. After you enter your username and password, the system will send a 6-digit code to your email or mobile phone. You enter the 6-digit code for authentication which helps prevent someone else accessing your account.
-
Will I be required to reset my password?
No – you will log in the first time using your existing Texas Health MyChart username and password. If you have forgotten either of these, you can recover/reset them using the self-service features on the login page.
-
Can I continue to log into MyChart without a Texas Health account?
Beginning in April, the username and password field will be removed from the MyChart homepage and you will need to click the button Login to Your Texas Health Account and enter your MyChart username and password to link your Texas Health account. Your username and password will not change.
-
Will I be able to continue to use Face ID, PIN codes, fingerprint or other biometric login methods?
Yes - the first time you log into your Texas Health account you will need to enter your MyChart username and password. You will then see the option to use these login methods on the MyChart homepage.
