Longitudinal Residency Requirements and Expectations
- Weekend staffing (every 4th weekend) – total of 26 shifts over the course of the year
- Weekday staffing during select learning experiences – total of 25 shifts over the course of the year
- Emergency medical response – trauma, stroke, and Code Blue
- Provision of clinical pharmacy services, including TPN, anticoagulation, and antibiotic management
- Completion and presentation of a pharmacy research project
- Implementation of a cost savings project
- Delivery of an ACPE-accredited CE presentation to Texas Health pharmacists
- Assist in mentoring and precepting PGY-1 residents and pharmacy students
Prospective Residents
Residents who successfully complete our program will be prepared to provide advanced patient care and seek board certification.
