The Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth Pharmacy Residency Programs are ASHP-accredited, or in pre-candidate/candidate status, health system pharmacy programs. We equip residents with the knowledge and skills needed to provide patient-centered care throughout their careers.
Texas Health Fort Worth is an 851-bed, acute care hospital that is currently designated as a Level I Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke and cardiac center. The hospital has approximately 90 adult ICU beds; a Level III, 65-bed Neonatal ICU; and an Emergency Department with more than 100 beds.
Our Pharmacy Residency Programs maintain an academic affiliation with the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy, which provides academic teaching opportunities and participation in the Teaching and Learning Curriculum Program.
Clinical pharmacists are an integral part of the health care team and provide core clinical services in renal and pharmacokinetic dosing, TPN management, antibiotic stewardship, and both anticoagulation/procoagulation management. Our preceptors take part in patient care rounds with multidisciplinary teams throughout the hospital and are actively involved in the training of pharmacy students from schools across the state of Texas.
