Our Farrington-Thompson Society donors create a legacy for generations to come by including the Foundation through estate plan gifts or the creation of an endowment. The North Texans served by Texas Health now and in the future are blessed by their lasting generosity.
Jill Kettela
Jill Kettela didn’t live her entire life in Texas, but once she came here she decided to leave a legacy. At a meeting with Blake Windham, Executive Leader of Texas Health Willow Park, she learned of the ever-growing need to provide health services to the uninsured in Parker County. This need, coupled with wonderful, caring service she witnessed at the hospital, led her to include the Foundation in her estate plans.
Jill’s legacy will ensure all individuals will be able to receive health services regardless of their ability to pay.
Andrea and Spencer Turner
Sometimes it’s the spark of a new life that inspires a legacy gift. Andrea and Spencer Turner delivered their son, Isaac, at just 32 weeks at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas. Isaac spent some time in the NICU which was difficult, but the couple also took away some wonderful experiences. Andrea said, “I kept thinking if this had happened to me and Isaac 100 years ago, we both would have probably died. It’s incredible for me to know that we have the miracle of modern medicine at this institution dedicated to taking care of fragile babies.”
For the Turners, it made sense to include Texas Health Dallas in their estate even though they are young. “It’s absolutely critical that people our age realize they aren’t invincible, and that they don’t have all the time in the world,” Andrea said.
Thanks to Farrington-Thompson Society members like Jill and the Turners, a legacy of giving will mean the difference to our North Texas neighbors in the years to come.
