“The physician asked me how long I’d had swollen lymph nodes in my neck,” Dominguez said. “I hadn’t noticed them. I wasn’t having any unusual symptoms or fatigue. I had no idea that I was sick.”
Dr. Carla Castaneda set an appointment with Dominguez’s doctor before she left. One month later, results from tests and scans revealed stage three non-Hodgkin’s follicular lymphoma throughout her entire upper body.
“It’s a blessing to have found the cancer when we did, because it’s treatable,” Dominguez said. “If it weren’t for Dr. Castaneda’s thorough exam, I may not have found out for months or even longer.”

Dominguez, who is 51 years old and has a family history of cancer, said she never thought she would be diagnosed so young — but she’s grateful to be armed with an excellent treatment plan.
“Now I’ll be monitored annually, which gives me peace of mind,” Dominguez said. “I can’t thank the executive health program enough. This may have saved my life.”
