You’ll find no shortage of activities to reading and language activities do with your toddler if you search online. One fun activity—especially after a vacation or a fun outing—is to “write” a book together.
Your child can dictate the details of the trip for you to inscribe on the pages, and you can together draw pictures or cut them out from magazines and paste them in the book. Then bind the pages together with yarn.
Your book will be a treasured keepsake that your child can “read” back to you, to herself, and to friends and family members in the future.
As he gets older, he may even begin to sound out some of the familiar words.
