Fill a shallow pot or basin with water, put it on a towel on the floor, and voila—an instant pond. Add some toys or child-safe household items, and let your toddler explore.
He’ll love splashing and dipping and stirring. For variety, add a drop of food coloring or a little bubble bath to the water.
Just be sure you are right there watching, to prevent accidents or even drowning. Young children can drown in as little as 2 inches of water. Never leave your child unattended near any source of water.
