Most children spend at least some of their time with other caretakers, and when the rules vary from house to house, it can be confusing for a toddler to understand what behavior is expected.
While you are your child’s most influential role model, children can form strong attachments to several loving caregivers, and begin imitating unwanted behavior they’ve picked up elsewhere.
However, even at this age, your toddler is able to understand that a rule in one house may not be the same at another house. She will adjust her behavior as she grows and will benefit from having a variety of close relationships within her extended family, as well as with you.
