Children have been listening to fairy and folk tales for a long time. These tales have a part of the heritage of every culture and are a valuable addition to every child’s language and social development.
At this age, however, your child may be too young for some of the more gruesome tales. Conversely, the rhymes and rhythms of Mother Goose are just right for the toddler years, and your child will relish them.
Refresh your memory by reading through old stories to make sure the themes aren’t too frightening before introducing them to your toddler.
