While your toddler may already have begun to play with other children, the months between ages 2 and 3 are the beginning of a growing ability—and desire—to seek out friends and playmates.
This is a huge leap in social development and a sign that language skills and empathy are continuing to develop.
Your child may already have friends at preschool or from her childcare setting. If not, try to find a playgroup in your area or join a class specifically designed for toddlers so that she can meet and play with her peers.
