Soccer is a great first sport to try, and while many leagues allow children to join a team as early as age 2, you’ll likely find your child isn’t quite ready for organized sports just yet.
If you are thinking of having your toddler join a soccer team, it’s a good idea to keep your expectations realistic. Don’t be surprised if he or she spends more time running after friends than the ball.
Casually playing ball outdoors is a great alternative to participating in formal sports. Not only is it free of cost, but it’s also a fun way to play together!
