Texas Health garners honor for fourth straight time

ARLINGTON, Texas — For the fourth consecutive year, Texas Health Resources has been recognized at the highest level by the American Heart Association for workplace health programs and employee heart health. The Gold-level designation highlights Texas Health’s significant steps to create a culture of health in the workplace.

Rankings are based on the 2019 American Heart Association’s Workplace Health Achievement Index. The index uses science-based best practices to capture a more comprehensive overview and evaluate the overall quality of each workplace health program.

In addition to being the largest Blue ZonesÒ Approved Worksite, programs such as Be Healthy, encourage employees and their families to make healthy lifestyle choices and participate in annual biometric screenings.

Organizations are ranked in one of three award categories: Bronze, Silver or Gold. To achieve the Gold-level status, participants must achieve an index score of at least 175 out of a maximum of 250 points.
