The Top Workplaces D-FW 2023 recognition celebrates 150 businesses that are contributing to the North Texas job market by creating strong work cultures.

“We are continually working to provide benefits and resources to enable our employees to succeed,” said Carla Dawson, chief people officer, Texas Health. “Our benefits portfolio meets employees’ professional, personal and family needs and we actively cultivate an inclusive workplace with opportunities for growth.”

The top 150 workplaces list includes three separate rankings for large, midsize and small companies. Forty workplaces were included in the ranking for large companies.

Texas Health maintains a strong working environment for more than 29,000 employees who serve and care for patients in a 16-county area of North Texas. Texas Health offers employees a 401(k) program with generous company match, paid time off and paid time to volunteer in their communities.

Benefits include competitive healthcare choices and a variety of wellness programs aimed at keeping employees and their families healthy.

Texas Health has also created pathways for employees to further their education and professional development, including tuition reimbursement, a student loan repayment program and leadership development.

As part of the selection process, employees from nominated companies were contacted and asked to rank their workplaces in a variety of categories, including diversity, perks, ethics, family friendliness, work-life balance and fulfillment.

The 2023 selection process began with 5,885 companies.

Winners were announced at a Top Workplaces event and were featured in a glossy magazine produced by The Dallas Morning News.

Texas Health’s focus on employee success and well-being has been recognized by multiple publications and organizations in 2023. Texas Health placed No. 3 nationally in Fortune's Best Workplaces in Health Care 2023 and ranked top in the state. In October, Great Place To Work® and Fortune magazine selected Texas Health as one of the 2023 Fortune Best Workplaces for Women.

Also, this year, Texas Health ranked No. 6 on the Fortune Best Workplaces in Texas list and No. 66 on the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For® list.
