“Julie grew her career at Texas Health, starting with us as a registered nurse in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas in 1999,” said Winjie Miao, chief operating officer for Texas Health. “Throughout her career progression, she has been a proven leader who has remain committed to patient care and supporting our nurses to do their life’s best work.”

While at Texas Health, Balluck earned a doctor of nursing practice from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Cizik School of Nursing and a master of science in nursing administration from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Among her accomplishments at Texas Health HEB, Balluck led the effort as the hospital earned its first Magnet® designation from the ANCC in 2022.
