Program Specific Information
- The residency year begins on July 1st and commences on June 30th the following year (52-week program)
- If able, the residents are requested to complete the Texas Health Resources orientation the Monday prior to the program start date.

Employment and Stipend
- Full time employee of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC)
- Stipend of $48,000 per year (paid on the 1st of each month)—Beginning August 1, 2024
- PRN employee of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth (THFW)

Travel
- Annual travel stipend via TTUHSC (typically $500, based on fund availability)
- Registration and one night hotel for the Alcalde meeting via TTUHSC
- All travel expenses for the TTUHSC Research Days
- Additional travel funds may be available for travel to ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting via THFW (dependent on administration approval yearly)

Paid Leave*
- 12 days of vacation leave (8 hours accrued per month)
- 12 days of sick leave (8 hours accrued per month)
- 10 days of professional leave
- Texas state holidays (as approved by the TX state legislature and Texas Tech Board of Regents)
- Residents will follow Texas Tech holiday schedule and will receive an additional 2 hours of holiday comp time monthly
* Maximum number of allowed time off without extending the residency is 37 days per ASHP accreditation standards

- Premium paid in full by Texas Tech (BCBS HealthSelect, however plans may vary by year)
- Includes medical and prescription benefits
- 60-day waiting period (benefits begin Sept 1, 2023)
- Dental and vision coverages are optional for an additional monthly fee

- Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) or Optional Retirement Program (ORP)

Applications should be made through PhORCAS and we participate in the MATCH.
The components of the application include:
- Letter of Interest (describe your interest in the residency program and your professional goals and objectives)
- Curriculum vitae
- Official transcripts from all pharmacy education
- Three (3) letters of recommendation (submitted through PhORCAS)
- One short video clip (<1min) answering the question "Why Texas Health Fort Worth"?
