• The residency year begins on July 1st and commences on June 30th the following year (52-week program)
•  If able, the residents are requested to complete the Texas Health Resources orientation the Monday prior to the program start date.

• Full-time employee of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center
• Stipend of $60,000 per year (paid on the 1st of each month)—Beginning August 1, 2025
• PRN employee of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth

• Annual travel stipend via Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (typically $500, based on fund availability) to cover: Registration and one night hotel for the Alcalde Southwest Leadership Conference
• Additional travel funds may be available for travel to ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting via Texas Health Fort Worth (Typically approximately $1,500, dependent on budgetary status and administration approval yearly)

• 12 days of vacation leave (8 hours accrued per month)
• 12 days of sick leave (8 hours accrued per month)
• 7 days of professional leave for conferences**
• 3 days of professional leave for interviews

* Maximum number of allowed time off without extending the residency is 37 days per ASHP accreditation standards (** 7 days of professional leave for conferences not included in time away from program)
