Your Weight-Loss Guide
During your journey, a weight-loss surgery program coordinator will be there to guide you through every step. This coordinator works closely with you to offer assistance in finding a physician, scheduling appointments, answering questions and locating helpful resources. The goal is to support you through every aspect of care, allowing you to focus on your weight-loss surgery and adjust to your new lifestyle.
Support Groups
Studies show that those who attend support groups are more likely to keep the weight off long term. Weight-loss surgeons also recommend ongoing support to help you achieve the greatest level of success.
Our weight-loss surgery support group addresses pre- and post-surgery topics to help in your long-term success.
We invite you to attend the support group if you had surgery, are in the pre-operative process or are considering weight-loss surgery. We welcome all participants regardless of surgical facility, surgeon or surgery type.
Each session is led by a physician on the medical staff, a dietitian or a registered nurse, in a comfortable, supportive environment. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the discussion. Sharing with others who are going through a similar experience often creates new friendships and special bonds. Participating in a support group can keep you motivated, help you celebrate milestones and provide different perspectives on everyday successes and challenges.
