Common Questions

  • 1.What types of programs do you offer?

We offer residential medication-assisted detox, residential treatment tailored to men, women and the LGBTQ+ community, a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
  • 2.How do you tailor treatment to my specific needs?

By creating an individual-centered plan that includes goals for recovery set by you, we are able to provide a treatment experience that is uniquely yours and allows for the appropriate level of care. Your individualized treatment plan will address addiction stabilization as well as ongoing recovery.
  • 3.Can family members be involved in the treatment process?

It is our belief that family is an integral part of the recovery process. We reach out to family members within 24 hours of a loved one’s admission for a signed Release of Information. From here, we are able to plan family therapy sessions as requested by the individual or family and connect family members to our weekly family group meetings. Learn more about Family Therapy.
  • 4.What can/can’t I bring with me?

We want you to have a place to reflect and break free from outside influences when you walk through our doors. That means some things that may help you feel safe and comfortable may be allowed while a few other things should be left at home. View our complete list of What to Bring for Your Stay.
  • 5.How long will my stay last?

The length of your stay will depend on your specific treatment plan. Clients in our medically assisted detox program typically stay between four and seven days. Residential treatment programs last around 21 days.
  • 6.Will I be allowed visitors?

Yes. Women may have visitors on Saturdays and men on Sundays.
  • 7.Will my treatment be kept confidential?

Yes. We take the privacy of all clients very seriously. We comply with all privacy laws and regulations as well as HIPAA.
  • 8.Are day passes allowed?

Due to the nature of rehabilitation as a controlled experience, you will not be permitted to leave The Addiction Recovery Center once you enter into treatment unless a medical emergency necessitates it.
  • 9.Can I smoke or vape?

New, unopened cigarettes are allowed and will be secured at the nurse’s station upon your arrival. No vaping devices, cigarillos, smokeless tobacco, dab pens, cigars or pipes will be allowed. Lighters will be provided by The Addiction Recovery Center as needed.
  • 10.What does a day in treatment look like?

A typical day begins with a waking hour from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m., during which you have time for personal care, room tidying and reflection. The day typically winds down from 10:30 p.m. to 11: p.m. In between, there are ample opportunities to enjoy our outdoor spaces, participate in therapies and group sessions, connect with others over meals, have tech time and more.
  • 11.Do you accept insurance and what are the payment options?

Yes, we do accept insurance from most major carriers and payment options are available. The level of coverage for care for substance use disorders provided by most health plans can vary greatly. Some forms of treatment may not be covered, and how much you’ll pay out-of-pocket will depend on your specific plan. Our staff is available to help you navigate your insurance coverage and review payment options with you. For more information, please visit our Insurance and Billing page.
