Meet the Team
Texas Health EAP counselors are all State of Texas licensed mental health providers, with at least a master’s degree in counseling or social work, and on average, each have 10+ years of clinical experience. Their diverse training backgrounds, credentials, and clinical experiences, as well as their focus on providing culturally sensitive and LGBTQIA+ affirming support, help us meet the varied needs of our clients.
EAP counselors strictly adhere to their professional Code of Ethics in connection with their respective licensing board and State of Texas legal mandates and make it a priority to operate from an ethical-decision making model.

Debbie H., Licensed Psychologist
Education:
- Doctorate in Psychology, Loyola University in Maryland
- Bachelor of Art, Montclair State University
Dr. Hillard earned a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) in 2002 and was the former Director of the Johns Hopkins University/Johns Hopkins Hospital Employee Assistance Program, where she functioned both as an Administrator and Clinician from 2002-2011. Dr. Hillard was responsible for launching the internal-based Texas Health EAP in 2016 and has been managing the program since that time. The majority of Dr. Hillard’s career has been related to providing employee assistance program services and clinical/forensic assessments including fitness for duty, pre-employment, workplace violence and risk assessment evaluations. Her clinical experiences range from inpatient mental health, outpatient counseling and working with incarcerated individuals. She has performed over 3,000 public-safety evaluations over the course of her career and areas of specialization include practice ethics, diagnostic assessment, healthcare provider wellness and outreach/prevention strategies.
Jocelyn T., Licensed Professional Counselor

Jocelyn is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 16 years of experience. Her journey as a mental health counselor started in clinical evaluation and assessment, including diagnostic testing. Her clinical experience ranges from inpatient mental health and crisis stabilization, outpatient counseling, mobile crisis, substance abuse counseling, as well as utilization management and case management from both the provider and payor perspectives. Jocelyn worked in managed care for 10+ years where she gained experience in clinical program management and administration, strategic program planning/consultation, cross-functional collaboration, and sales support.

Jessica B., Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Supervisor (LCSW-S)

Jessica is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Supervisor with over 10 years of clinical experience. Prior to joining the Texas Health EAP team, Jessica worked in a variety of settings, including acute care, victim advocacy, crisis intervention, private practice, and program development. Jessica has experience supporting adults, adolescents, and couples through a wide range of issues, including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, grief, burnout, and life transitions. Jessica uses a collaborative therapeutic approach that is grounded in evidence-based practices and emphasizes compassion, mindfulness, and empowerment.
Marquita C., Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Marquita is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 8 years of clinical experience, including roles in residential treatment centers, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, community mental health programs and private practice counseling. Marquita has experience working with adults and adolescents navigating a wide variety of issues including depression, anxiety, life transitions, stress management, improving communication skills, and developing/maintaining healthy relationships. Marquita utilizes various evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, strength-based and solution-focused counseling.
Chiara E., Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor

Chiara is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor with 17 years of clinical experience. Chiara brings experience from roles within inpatient and outpatient behavioral health, domestic violence shelters, mobile crisis units, and residential rehabilitation facilities for addiction. Chiara has experience working with adults, children, and couples on a wide variety of issues including anxiety, depression, stress management, burnout, grief, domestic violence, and work-life balance. Chiara utilizes an integrative approach to counseling combining short-term, solution-focused, and cognitive-behavioral interventions, within the framework of person-centered approach, to assist a wide range of individuals develop new skills, or reconfigure their existing skills, to manage and reduce overwhelming thoughts and emotions.
Sara G., Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Supervisor

Sara is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Supervisor with 12 years of clinical experience. She brings a plethora of knowledge given her varied work experiences in the areas of medical social work, domestic abuse, and adolescent residential treatment. In her previous role as clinical administrator, she managed a psychiatric admission department at an acute care facility, where she was involved in diagnostic assessment, crisis stabilization and care planning for individuals seeking mental health and substance abuse care. Sara believes in utilizing multiple therapy modalities to include cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and dialectic behavioral interventions. Sara incorporates a patient-centered approach and builds therapeutic rapport by creating a safe, judgement free space for clients to explore their concerns and reach their goals.
Sean M., Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor

Sean is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor with over 8 years of experience in the mental health field, most recently providing EAP clinical services at UT Southwestern Medical Center for the past 5 years. Sean uses an eclectic approach, mainly utilizing short-term solution-focused, and cognitive-behavioral interventions with adults, couples, and adolescents for a variety of issues, including anger management, substance use, depression, anxiety, work-related concerns, communication skills, and boundaries.
Michelle M., Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Supervisor (LCSW-S)

Michelle is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Supervisor with over 20 years of experience working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds, including 7 years of experience as a therapist in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings, including work in the EAP field. She has a passion for helping individuals cultivate growth, healing and self-acceptance utilizing short-term solution-focused interventions. During her sessions you will experience a safe, caring, and confidential environment to explore your feelings, beliefs and behaviors to gain insight and create lasting change. Michelle believes that no two individuals are the same and will tailor her therapeutic approach to address the challenges unique to you. Michelle embraces the social work professional values of service, social justice, dignity and worth of the individual, the importance of human relationships, integrity, and competence.

Wellness Ambassadors
Robert H., Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Robert is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 14 years of clinical experience. He has been employed with Texas Health since 2014 and joined the Texas Health EAP team in 2021 as a Wellness Ambassador. Rather than seeing individual counseling clients, Robert’s work focuses on raising awareness about EAP services and empowering employees to utilize EAP to assist with life’s challenges. Robert’s goals are to reduce the stigma associated with seeking support/assistance and to provide resources to improve employee wellness and self-care. Robert is often seen onsite at the various Texas Health entities providing education, outreach, and support to Texas Health employees through rounding, conducting presentations and facilitating Critical Incident Stress Management groups following a critical incident.
Jamie W., Licensed Master Social Worker

Jamie is a Licensed Master Social Worker. Before joining the Texas Health EAP team as Wellness Ambassador, Jamie spent 10 years working in community behavioral health. In her role as Wellness Counselor, Jamie has enjoyed meeting and serving Texas Health staff from all corners of the Metroplex. Jamie’s focus is on prevention and outreach, most days she is traveling to different Texas Health entities spreading the word about EAP services and wellbeing strategies and providing real-time support to staff. Her favorite thing about working for Texas Health is seeing the Promise behaviors in action while visiting with employees and leaders.

Call Center Representatives/WorkLife Assistants are highly valued members of our EAP team. They are often working behind the scenes to meet our clients’ needs and are usually a client’s first encounter with our program. They each have at least 10+ years of customer service experience, with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
