Train here. This is why.
The Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano Internal Medicine Residency Program is training physicians to practice medicine now and in the future. This program builds upon the commitment to care established by Texas Health Resources, the highest-ranked health system in the U.S. on Fortune’s 2022 100 Best Companies to Work For® list and offers a unique experience for residents. Here’s how:
Commitment to wellness. Residents’ health and well-being is our priority. The program’s curriculum fosters positive mental health throughout training, and encourages the kind of self-care that will benefit a physician throughout their career. Residents receive PTO each year and regularly scheduled administrative days to attend to healthcare needs, catch up on administrative paperwork and advance scholarly activity.
Collaborative approach. Our program’s faculty members are dedicated to creating a collaborative learning environment that fosters communication and mutual respect in a culture of compassion in a community-based hospital.
Critical thinking encouraged. This robust curriculum includes both traditional and innovative approaches to medical education, with a focus on evidence-based practice and critical thinking that will serve physicians for a lifetime.
Calling to serve fostered. Residents learn about making a significant impact on the world around them. Residents engage in meaningful quality improvement projects and clinical experiences that help them become leaders driven both by excellence and a desire to make a positive impact on the world.
